Evil and free will

Deuteronomy 11:26-28  Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

27  A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:

28  And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

God created man with a free will – able to choose on his own. He has not taken away that privilege since creation and we all have that privilege and responsibility to choose. To Israel, God put that choice into perspective – a blessing or a curse. If they choose right there will be a blessing, but if they choose wrong, then there will follow a curse.

Every day we make choices that will either bring God’s blessing or the curse upon sin into our life and the lives of others as well. Since Adam and Eve introduced sin into the human family, we all suffer the results of the curse an experience the problems associated with sin.

School shootings (where was God?)

Job 23:1-3, 8-9 (KJV)

1  Then Job answered and said,

2  Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.

3  Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!

8  Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:

9  On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:

Job was tested more than probably any other person in history and he makes his complaints saying he could not find God. He goes forward, backward, left and right but cannot find God. We hear some similar complaints today from those who complain about the school shootings or those of the past when the terrorists attacked in September 11, 2001. They say, “Where was God?” Are we so stupid and ignorant of what we have done and fostered that we should ask such an idiotic question? We have eliminated prayer and the Bible from our schools. We have eliminated a show of nativity scenes and any mention of Jesus or God –

Three questions

Micah 6:8  He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Our first question today is: Does God have any expectations for His people? Unfortunately too many simply want an “easy-going” faith and Christian life. This is why the Emerging church has gained so much popularity and the Hyper Grace movement has gained momentum.  These movements are simply a response to the desires of many who desire to go to heaven but not have any problems or bumpy roads along the way.

Does the Heavenly Father expect His children to grow up and is He grieved when they do not? When Jesus came down from the Mount of Transfiguration, there was a boy possessed by a demon that they were not able to help. Jesus was not thrilled with them and after He cast the demon out, He said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? (He did say that this was a particularly troublesome demon that required fasting as well, but this also

The modern church

Job 42:7 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

When we look back in world history we blame Hitler the Holocaust and Nazi expansionism; and Emperor Hirohito for the tragedy of Pearl Harbor and the devastation that followed. But if we focus our blame solely on them, we miss a very important fact – they could not have done anything without the insane loyalty of flowerers. These megalomaniacs were able to convince their followers that a glorious destiny awaited them. Their hate-filled rhetoric and fiery speeches mobilized a multitude of very intelligent people into a path that ultimately destroyed their countries.

You may ask, “What does that have to do with the modern church”? as the title of this post? Simply this: there has been much teaching in the church the last few decades that has brought confusion and anxiety to many people. The teaching is about God being love and it is taught that is

Will America last?

Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

There has been much discussion, debate and even arguments over whether America is in prophecy and whether she will remain into the future. We know that there will be many nations remaining after Christ removes the church from the earth; the question is whether America will remain the major power and key element in world policies and events. America has been a great nation in the past and the reason America has been great is because America, at one time, was good. America honored God, the Bible and Christian principles. Our constitution and the laws established according to this document has made America a great nation. It jhas never been a 100% Christian nation – everyone accepting God, the Bible and Christian principles. But nearly all were at the least “God-fearing” people and they respected Godliness and the Bible. The church and the pastors thundered out and declared the holiness of God and called for repentance, restitution and changed lives and living. People came under conviction and gave up sin and started a new life in Christi.

Lack of knowledge

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Daniel was told by God that in the end times “knowledge shall be increased”, but unfortunately the knowledge that has increased is not Bible knowledge. God through Hosea says that His people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge. Destroy means to cease to be, be destroyed. It comes from a primitive root word meaning to be dumb, silent. Surely many of the clergy today fall into that root meaning because too many are and have been silent over many issues that have brought destruction upon the people of God. Here are just a few that the pulpits have been silent about:

COVID-19 fraud – Those responsible for the fraud and deception were very beguiling and subtle – just as the devil (serpent) was in deceiving Eve. But after two or three weeks into the planned pandemic, these men of God failed by not inspecting and checking facts and examining the evidence.

Prophecy 24

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The anti-Christ’s process of takeover

The coming world ruler will probably not be an overnight thing but I believe it will happen suddenly and quickly – like the appearance of Obama when he ran for and became president. Before he ran no one knew him and he had no real achievements to his acclaim – all of a sudden there he was in the lime light. There was a lot of preparation work ahead of Obama becoming president and there is a lot of work going into preparing for the one world ruler to come into power soon. There was a lot of preparation for Mr. Biden to be falsely elected president – all the fake ballots, computer programming etc. But there had to be a catalyst that brought this on

The blessed nation

Psalm 33:12-22  Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

13  The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14  From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15  He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

16  There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17  An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

18  Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

19  To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20  Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

21  For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22  Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

Prophecy 23 -- Globalism - 3

Revelation 17:3, 16-17  So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 16  And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17  For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

John was transported in the spirit into the wilderness and he sees a scarlet colored beast having seven heads and ten horns; then he is told that those ten horns represent ten kings & kingdoms that will give their support to the beast

Ten horns in prophecy

These ten horns appear in Rev 12:3 and are associated with the great red dragon

Prophecy 22 -- Globalism 2

Genesis 11:1-4  And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

2  And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3  And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4  And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

Tower of Babel

Nimrod was the founder of this structure as well as the false worship and desired world culture, but God thwarted his plans and dispersed the people over the world and confounded their languages.

The people said they wanted to build a tower that reached into heaven; but it was really a tower to reach their worship into heaven. This was false worship and not true worship. Remains of some of these ziggurats have been found and on them are the signs of the

Prophecy 21 One world order -- globalism

Genesis 47:13-14  And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.

14  And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house.

Either way you look at it Globalism or One World Order (OWO), it is coming to this world. They are both the same.

The book of Genesis has been revealed during these days of this plandemic and the push for globalism that shows us what will happen in reaction of people during a plandemic. Joseph was sent to Egypt by his jealous brothers, but God turned it into a way to save Israel from extermination. When Pharaoh had dreams that bothered him and his wise men could not explain he called for Joseph who revealed to him what God was going to do. There would be seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. The warning came to tell people to prepare for the coming famine.

Prophecy 20 -- Hand writing on the wall

Daniel 5:1-5 1  Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand. 2  Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein. 3  Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them. 4  They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. 5  In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

Belshazzar was feasting when God interrupted the party with the writing on the wall telling of his future. The handwriting had to be interpreted to him by Daniel, the man of God, who was known for

Prophecy 19 -- remembering

2 Peter 3:1 (KJV)

1  This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

2 Peter 1:19-21 (KJV)

19  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

20  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

As we celebrate Memorial Day we remember (or try to get people to remember) what others did so we can have freedom in America. However, the cancel and woke culture is frantically working to destroy any romance of our memorials – they willingly are choosing to forget what others have done so they have the freedom to speak as they do.

Prophecy 18 -- World government

Revelation 13:7 “ . . . and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”

The word for power in this verse means “authority” but also carries the idea of superhuman potentate; This is used also of Jesus in Matthew 28. The coming world leader (anti-Christ) will be enabled and empowered by the devil and will have superhuman capabilities.

Previously  I mentioned the World Constitution and Parliament Association (WCPA) and their composing of a world constitution. They desire a world government to address the problems they think are jeopardizing the world; among which most deal with the environment, military disarmament, world hunger and the economy. The preamble to this world constitution has nineteen articles and reads like a New Age occult manual.

The goal of this world government is total control over the world and all people. Article IV regulates weapons of mass destruction and also any lethal weapon – this will mean no gun ownership. This constitution also sets up an Executive branch that could with the stroke of a pen eliminate our God-ordained Constitution and freedoms.

Prophecy 17

Luke 22:53  When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

When they cane to arrest Jesus prior to crucifying Him, Jesus made an interesting statement that is relevant to what is going on today. He made the case that they came by night away from crowds to arrest Him when they could have arrested Him in the temple or elsewhere. But they did not and then Jesus said, “but this is you hour, and the power of darkness.” The devil has been in rebellion against God since he tried to overthrow God as recorded by Isaiah (Isa 14:12-14) and he has continued his efforts to be king over this earth. In the temptation of Jesus he offered Jesus the kingdoms of this world if Jesus would bow down and worship him. The devil longs to be supreme ruler over the earth and control ALL the inhabitants having others help him in his rule. Many attempts have surfaced through the years to bring about his dream and desire, but the Holy Spirit stands in his way of total control.

Hannah: A true mother

(1 Sam 1:1-2)  Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite: {2} And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

This Sunday is Mother’s Day and we will look at Hannah one of many in the Bible as an example of motherhood. Booker T. Washington said, If I’ve done anything in life worth attention, I feel sure that I inherited the disposition from my mother. He recognized the great influence his mother had upon him. Mothers do not become successful by learning a 10-point lesson on raising children. Success is related to who they are more than what they accomplish. Hannah is an example of this principle.

Hannah was a woman who desired to be a mother but was barren and she was a woman under trial.  She was grieved because she could not bear children. Too often today young girls are urged to seek a career and let motherhood be

Prophecy 16

Colossians 2:18  Let no man beguile you of your reward

Types of judgment/reward:

Christians will be judged/rewarded in numerous areas. There are verses that speak of “full reward” and also warning not to allow someone to prevent us from receiving a full reward (2 Jn 8; Rev. 3:11; Col 2:18); Scripture also speaks of receiving our own reward (1 Cor 3:8).

Doctrinal living – Paul speaks of our works being tried by fire (1 Cor 3:9-15)

Faithfulness – We are to remain faithful to what, where and how we are to serve Christ (1 Cor 3:8; 4:2; 1 Pet 4:10; Lu 19:26). We will not be judged according to amount, but faithfulness to our ability  and calling(Matt 13:23; 25:15).

Words – Jesus says we will give account for idle (vain) words that we speak Matt 12:36. This could refer to exclamations, unholy talk (Eph 4:29) or our prayer life (Matt 6:7).

Christian ministering/service – As Christians we have opportunities to help others or minister to needs of others and we will be rewarded accordingly (Matt 10:42; Phil 4:17; Heb 6:10; Lu 14:14).

Rewards – Some of the rewards the righteous receive relate to our

Daniel 7:10  A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

Judgments:

Many people think that judgment day will be one special day and all will be present standing before God and we will find out then who is saved and who is not saved and to what degree of punishment or reward will be given to each. The Bible does not give us this sense of judgment. There seems to be three separate judgments in reference to time, place and type of judgment. These represent a finality judgment; however there are judgments declared and administered upon sin and people and nations prior to the final judgments (such as Israel going into captivity, judgments upon Egypt, etc.). Sin was judged at Calvary when Christ took the sins of the world upon His body and those who place their trust in Him receive the forgiveness of their sin (1 Tim 5:24). God is presently poring our judgment upon nations today because of their sin – America is being judged because of our embracing abortion, sodomy,

Christ is risen

Matthew 28:5-6   And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Years ago someone took a survey of a thousand people and asked what they thought were the most important events in history. To the shock and disappointment of many the resurrection of Jesus Christ was named as only the fifth most important event – it was blow Columbus discovering America, invention of the printing press and several others.

If you think about what the resurrection did for mankind and its importance toand for us, you will agree with me – they are all worng.

If Christ had not been raised from the dead we could not be justified before a Holy God -- Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.  Belief in His resurrection is key to being saved -- Romans 10:9  if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him

Prophecy 14

Revelation 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

Silence in heaven:

Upon the opening of the seventh seal there is silence for half an hour in heaven. Most believe that this is an awe-struck silence before the sounding of trumpets and opening of the seals. The sounding of trumpets is preceded by mention of prayers of the saints and the casting of the incense onto the earth (Rev 6:10). The answers to prayers that have been kept by God are now being answered in full measure upon the earth.

Trumpets judgments:

As the trumpets are sounded serious and frightening things occur on earth.

First trumpet – Fire and hail mingled with blood falls onto the earth burning up a third of the trees and all green grass.

Second trumpet – a meteor or asteroid falls into the sea (Mediterranean) and one third of it turns to blood, a third of sea creatures die and a third of the ships on the sea were destroyed. (*These were perhaps ships against Israel).

Third trumpet – a giant meteor or asteroid comes into
